Every GPS watch, one page, no salesman.

What this is

Barebone Watches is a spec-comparison tool for GPS fitness watches, wristbands, and smartwatches — currently 71 products across 11 brands (Garmin, Apple, Coros, Suunto, Polar, Amazfit, Huawei, Samsung, Fitbit, Whoop, Wahoo). It exists for one job: putting watches from different brands in the same table, in the same units, so you can compare a Garmin against a Coros against an Apple Watch without reading three separate marketing sites.

Barebone, on purpose

No account, no popups, no tracking-heavy analytics, no infinite-scroll feed. This page loads fast because it's a plain static site — the same reason the whole site is fast. That's a deliberate choice, not a placeholder for a fancier version we haven't built yet.

Where the data comes from

Every spec on this site is pulled directly from each brand's own public product page by an automated crawler — not copied from a press kit, and not written from a review unit we were sent. Coverage varies by brand and price tier: a blank field means the spec wasn't found on the source page, not that the watch lacks that feature. When a source page doesn't clearly state something, we leave it blank rather than guess.

Our independence policy

Barebone Watches is not paid, sponsored, gifted products, or otherwise compensated by Garmin, Apple, Coros, Suunto, Polar, Amazfit, Huawei, Samsung, Fitbit, Whoop, Wahoo, or any retailer to list, rank, or favorably describe their products. Every product that meets our catalog criteria gets listed, in full, regardless of any commercial relationship.

This site currently has no affiliate or advertising relationships at all. If that changes — for example, if a "where to buy" link on a product page ever earns us a commission when you buy through it — this page will say so, disclose which relationships exist, and give the date it started. That kind of commission, if and when it exists, comes from a retailer paying for a completed sale you already decided to make — not from a manufacturer paying for placement — and it will never influence which products are listed or how they're ranked.

Mistakes happen

Automated extraction from dozens of differently-structured brand websites isn't perfect. If you spot a wrong or missing spec, that's a data problem worth fixing — the goal is that this page never has to apologize for the numbers, just occasionally correct one.
